After more than two years, I found him. He was wandering about a little used bookstore in Hyde Park looking for a book to read. I don't think he reads enough. I talked him into letting me sleep on his living room floor and then we went to breakfast the next day where we both partook of a delicious breakfast. I'm probably not supposed to reveal this, but I will anyway. Sam is being courted by an elite producer in Hollywood. I can't say his name, but let's just say it rhymes with Dom Banks. He (or she) wants to purchase the rights to Sam Boyd's life story. 95% of the film will take place in the corner of a library and Danny Boyle is set to produce.

The most recent sighting was in the corner of one of the libraries on his campus. He told a friend he was going to go brush up on a little Luwian lingo. In reality, he was just studying a little Hittite lingo. Slacker. Oh, and he was listening to Bryan Adams' "Waking up the Neighbors" on his iPod.

I'm not saying the guy on top - Julio Evangelista (or whatever his name is) - isn't cool. That's beside the point. I'm just saying that taking the title away from Boyd is like taking candy from Ivan Drago in Rocky IV. It's just not a smart move. It's irresponsible. It's ... dare I say it ... inauthentic. So let's re-embrace truth and authenticity and leave Sam Boyd alone with his title. Don't steal it from him and give it to flowy hair man. If Sam Boyd can hold a bag of day old watermelon in a gallon-size freezer bag and look that cool, then there's no reason to continue talking about this conversation I'm having with myself. It's being renovated right now. He didn't like the marble floors so he's having hardwood floors put in. The best part about it is that it is located within two blocks of campus. The wine cellar is nice, too.

Rumor has it that Sam Boyd might move to the Chicagoland area. That's where I live. If he does, he can tell people he lives near Kevin Vanhoozer. That would make his Westminster friends jealous, because they are geeks. I, on the other hand, would be jealous if someone were to move to Philly, because then they would be near Paul David Tripp and his fabulous mustache. And I am a geek. That reminds me of a joke. How do you tell the difference between a TEDS student and a Westminster student? Actually, I can't think of a joke, but I suppose I could say something about D.A. Carson in the joke (who I never took a class with - but I admire him for shaving his mustache) ... anyhow, I better go to bed. Please vote for Sam to move to Chicago. If this post gets at least one comment, then let's say he has to move to Chicago.

I heard from a friend of mine who prefers to remain anonymous that he spotted Sam Boyd walking the streets of Philadelphia yesterday. He managed to get this picture. Unfortunately, his camera was aimed downward, so he could only get a shot of Sam's feet. Why Sam wasn't wearing shoes, I don't know.

This is one of probably thousands of Sam Boyd fansites on the web, but I figured, there can't be enough of 'em. Sam is a graduate student at Westminster Seminary. He has studied under the likes of Vern Poythress, Peter Enns, and Eugene Levy. He is an accomplished guitarist and also enjoys needlepoint. He's so cool, I even named my son after him. Tell us what you think of Sam Boyd. At the right is a picture of Sam taken by Deb in her glamour shots studio. I think he would have looked better in a vest or something.
