Just Talked to Phil Keaggy

I just got off the phone with Phil Keaggy. We had an interesting conversation:

Phil: Hey, Burly! What's goin' down big man?

Burly: Nothing much. Just have a quick question for you.

Phil: Yo, what's up?

Burly: What's it like being the greatest guitar player who ever lived.

Phil: Gosh, I don't know. You'll have to ask Sam Boyd that question.

Burly: That's cool. See you later.

Phil: Okay, dude. Don't be a stranger.

Other than Tom Hanks ...

Which movie star do you think would best represent Sam Boyd in the movie version of "The Life of Sam Boyd"? It's your time to vote. My vote is for Joseph Fiennes. That's probably because he played Martin Luther in "Luther," and Sam reminds me of Luther.

Caught on Camera

The aforementioned anonymous friend tried to get a picture of Sam, but he quickly turned his head. Hence the picture of the back of Sam's head.

Sam Boyd Spotted!

I heard from a friend of mine who prefers to remain anonymous that he spotted Sam Boyd walking the streets of Philadelphia yesterday. He managed to get this picture. Unfortunately, his camera was aimed downward, so he could only get a shot of Sam's feet. Why Sam wasn't wearing shoes, I don't know.

It's THE Sam Boyd

This is one of probably thousands of Sam Boyd fansites on the web, but I figured, there can't be enough of 'em. Sam is a graduate student at Westminster Seminary. He has studied under the likes of Vern Poythress, Peter Enns, and Eugene Levy. He is an accomplished guitarist and also enjoys needlepoint. He's so cool, I even named my son after him. Tell us what you think of Sam Boyd. At the right is a picture of Sam taken by Deb in her glamour shots studio. I think he would have looked better in a vest or something.
